10 years of SIM Connectivity

Fast and reliable 4G connectivity is key to easy and convenient home charging, giving you full control of your Toyota HomeCharge from your smartphone. To make driving electric effortless and enjoyable, Toyota HomeCharge includes 10 years of 4G SIM connectivity (Available exclusively on the Mid version).

Your Home Charging Steps

  • Step 1

     

    You already completed the first step. Buying one of Toyota's Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) or Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). You might wonder how to get a charging point at home. We have you covered. Our Product Expert will advise you on the best Toyota HomeCharge to suit your needs.

  • Step 2

     

    Your local retailer§ will introduce you to one of our trusted installation partners to book the first appointment.

  • Step 3

     

    The installer will check the installation feasibility and explain the work required.   

    The appointment can be virtual or through a pre-check at your property. 

    The installer will arrange a suitable time for the installation prior to the collection of your new Toyota Plug-in Hybrid or Battery Electric Vehicle.

  • Step 4

     

    The final step is to download and sign up to the MyToyota app so you can plug in and charge your new Toyota Plug-in Hybrid or Battery Electric Vehicles.

A Toyota HomeCharge is a smart home charger that works seamlessly with your Toyota and the MyToyota app. 

Any all-electric or Plug-in Hybrid vehicle with a Type 2 plug can be charged with Toyota HomeCharger. Note that the MyToyota app is not compatible with non-Toyota cars.

A dedicated home charging solution makes charging your Toyota simple and convenient. The charger is fully integrated with the MyToyota app and your Toyota, putting you in control wherever you are. It allows you to do everything you would expect from a connected charger, such as remote charging and tracking your charging sessions. 

 A tethered charger has a built-in charging cable, whereas an untethered charger uses a separate charging cable. 

The charging time will depend on your vehicle's make and model. Please refer to its individual specification. As a rule you can expect to fully charge your all-electric Toyota overnight using a HomeCharge wall box. 

Yes. It is entirely safe to charge your vehicle in the rain.

Once your wall box is installed, charging is extremely simple. Plug it in and the vehicle will charge – just like an electrical appliance. Advanced features such as scheduled charging are easily set-up via the MyToyota app.
