With a focus on doing business the way that customers love, we have an exciting new role dedicated to driving our customer experience and ensuring a positive impact on our operation. We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join our IT Department in our Head Offices in Nicosia.

 

Job Summary

The purpose of the IT Systems Administrator role is to ensure the effective operation, security, and reliability of the company’s IT infrastructure. This position supports core business functions by maintaining servers, networks, security systems, databases, and Microsoft 365 environments. Additionally, the role ensures that IT policies and procedures are properly applied, continuously improved, and aligned with security and operational best practices.

The IT Systems Administrator will need to take ownership of all network and security infrastructure, ensure proper updates and Kaizen actions are applied, perform, monitor and quantify security tests with the purpose to enhance protocols and policies. He/she will be trained on the ERP system and will be able to provide first – line support.

The role requires collaboration with internal departments, external service providers, and the IT Manager to ensure system availability, data integrity, and compliance with IT standards.

Job Responsibilities

The IT Systems Administrator will be reporting to the IT Manager and will be expected to:

  • Administer and maintain Active Directory while ensuring accurate access rights, permissions and authentication controls.
  • Manage and maintain network security policies and configurations.
  • Review and improve security protocols and monitor network activity to ensure compliance with internal IT policies.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions upon approval of the IT Manager.
  • Manage Microsoft 365  accounts, licenses, groups and system configurators while monitoring system security and apply necessary updates, patches and changes.
  • Monitor, configure and maintain firewalls to ensure secure network communication while reviewing firewall policies and implement necessary rule changes.
  • Conduct regular security tests, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain and support databases in SQL and Oracle environments, monitor performance, execute queries, manage backups, and apply updates.
  • Serve as an active participant, advocate, and technical contributor in IT-related projects and initiatives.
  • Support the planning, design, and implementation of new systems, technologies, and organizational changes.
  • Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Contribute to security-related improvements, new protocols, and strengthening of IT standards. 

Desired Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in networking, virtualization and server operating systems.
  • Experience in Microsoft products.
  • Experience in ERP systems will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience in SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL databases will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience in web development coding language will be considered as advantage.
  • Strong sense of business ethics.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, determination, and high levels of personal and organisational achievement.
  • Contribute to a Culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate good teamwork and respect.
  • Good command of Greek and English languages, both verbal and written.
