Sustainable Mobility for All
Like our sporting heroes, we at Toyota always strive for better. And as the worldwide mobility partner for the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, we’re going beyond to make sustainable transportation more accessible than ever for athletes and visitors. Discover how we’re giving this long-running, global event an even more sustainable future
Driving for the games
We’ll be using our cutting-edge hydrogen fuel cell technology to decarbonise mobility, sending 500 hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai's to be the official fleet for Paris 2024. These vehicles offer clean transport for all, helping athletes and visitors reduce their carbon footprint without sacrificing ride comfort.
Zero emissions, big impact
With diesel coaches adding to emissions at high-attendance events, we wanted to revolutionise coach travel during Paris 2024, so that guests have a sustainable option. We opted to use ten retrofitted coaches powered by our hydrogen fuel cells. These are bound to have a great impact during the games and going forwards.
Leaving a legacy
Offering sustainable transport is more than just a commitment to reducing emissions at the 2024 events. It's a promise to leave a lasting legacy of environmental stewardship at the Olympic Games and Paralympic games. And that’s not all. By showing the world how to switch from traditional transportation methods to zero-emissions alternatives, we can speed up the transition towards a carbon-neutral society.
Inspiring a movement
When athletes and visitors gather in Paris to attend the games, they're part of a movement towards a more sustainable future. We’re here to inspire others to drive change in broader society and create a better world for future generations.
