Concept car iQ
Revolutionary technical innovation is matched by an equally radical design in Toyota’s new concept car iQ. From the swooping manta ray-inspired central instrument console, to the pearlescent white and purple flecked exterior colour - the concept car iQ is a revolution on the streets.
The concept car iQ embodies the twin guiding principles of Toyota’s Vibrant Clarity design philosophy: absolute focus on function and complete commitment to style. Toyota’s concept car iQ’s ultra efficient use of space and light make it feel as wide as the sky inside, while Toyota’s vehicle concept innovation reduces CO2 emissions. By re-imagining responsible urban transport the concept car iQ represents a step change towards a sustainable future.
The radically compact exterior is under 3 metres long, which is nearly 0.5m less than AYGO and 0.75m less than Yaris. The clever placing of the wheels at the extreme corners of the car means the concept car iQ still maintains a safe and stable road position. That also maximises the internal seating area. So it’s perfect for slipping into the smallest of gaps while still offering a real sense of space inside.

Versatile interior seating means that the basic 2-person layout can swiftly convert to either a 4-adult or a 3-adult-with-luggage space. The panoramic sunroof lets light in all round to enhance the concept car iQ’s sense of interior spaciousness.

Miniaturised technology allows an ultra compact heating/ventilation system and instrument pod, all set within a swooping manta ray styled dashboard. 3-in-1 3D instrument dials are mounted above the steering column, audio and navigation controls are on the wheel itself with a heads up GPS route finder projected onto the windscreen.
