The Future Electric Vehicles II (FT-EV II) Concept is a fully electric commuter vehicle, based on the Toyota iQ's highly compact platform.
It is the latest addition to Toyota's comprehensive environmental line-up that includes hybrid, plug-in hybrid, fuel cell hybrid and battery electric vehicles.
FT-EV II has a top-speed of 100km/h and a driving range of over 90km, runs on lithium-ion battery power and can be fully charged in 2.5 hours from an ordinary 230V electric socket.
Excellent visibility is combined with electric sliding doors on both sides, for easy access to the 2+2 seat configuration. It is equipped with drive-by-wire that allows for joystick operation of acceleration, braking and steering, with an extremely comfortable, smooth and quiet ride.
