Engines 1.6 Valvematic This petrol engine option develops dynamic horsepower at 132 DIN hp for rapid acceleration, whilst reducing fuel consumption to just 6.7l/100km. Valvematic balances optimised driving pleasure with improved power/torque, engine response and greatly reduced CO<span class="sub">2</span> emissions (158g/km) by simultaneously controlling the valve timing and the valve lift.

Working alongside Dual VVT-i and Toyota Optimal Drive, it provides cleaner, more efficient combustion. This engine employs a 6-speed manual transmission.
1.8 Valvematic This larger petrol engine delivers dynamic horsepower at 147 DIN hp with improved power/torque, engine response and fuel consumption cut to a frugal 6.9l/100km. With Valvematic technology working alongside Toyota Optimal Drive to provide cleaner, more efficient combustion, CO<span class="sub">2</span> emissions are also reduced to just 162g/km.

Whiplash injury protection Verso is equipped with Whiplash Injury Lessening (WIL) concept front seats, along with Active Headrests.

Active safety Verso comes with a host of Active Safety functions to ensure that you stay in control. Traction Control (TRC) will take action if you lose grip on the road, redistributing power to each wheel.
