Partnership with Autoadapt
Through a partnership with Toyota, Autoadapt can provide Toyota customers with a complementary range of active driving and wheelchair storage solutions and adaptations not available at Toyota Authorised Retailers. Autoadapt is a Swedish manufacturer of mobility adaptation products which focuses on quality from design, through engineering, production development and customer service.
The Autoadapt Pan-European network is working with Toyota Retailers to propose quality solutions.
Below you will find some examples from the Autoadapt product range.
Roof spider
A storage box on your rooftop to transport a wheelchair. The Roof spider can be loaded from either side of the vehicle so it makes no difference if you are a driver or a passenger. Just press the button that corresponds to the side of the Roof spider that you want to access by a wired remote control. The design is ideal for foldable, manual wheelchairs up to 25 kg. By storing the wheelchair on the roof you save the space in the back for luggage, groceries, etc.
Carolift
An electrically powered wheelchair hoist operated with a handheld unit for lifting and lowering the wheelchair as well as for swiveling it in and out of the vehicle.
Carospeed
Floor mounted hand control unit for accelerator and brake, through a mechanical link suitable for people with impaired leg function. A set of primary control functions can be integrated into the unit: indicators, hazard lights, windscreen washer and wiper, headlights, etc.
Steering device
Suitable for drivers who steer with one hand and use a hand control unit for acceleration and braking. There are a variety of handgrip alternatives available for this device.
